Если необходимо узнать, в какой версии создан Mathcad-файл, то можно открыть его с помощью Wordpad, например, и посмотреть на начало:

I did have a component knocking around somewhere that looked tested for M12 or M11 (I was trying to automate a read process and didn't want M11 to waste time trying to open M12 files). I'll have a look later if nobody else comes up with anything in the meantime.
