Information about "US units edition" of the WaterSteamPro

The special edition of the WaterSteamPro, called as "US units edition", have the functions with US units (the full list of functions with used dimensions given here). But in normal edition of the WaterSteamPro all functions work with SI units. The main difference between normal edition of the WaterSteamPro and "US units edition" is that the prefix of all functions in "US units edition" is "wsu", unlike in "normal edition" it is "wsp". As example, the function for calculating pressure at saturation line with argument temperature in "normal edition" named as "wspPST", but in "US units edition" it named as "wsuPST". And the arguments and results values are different in different editions: in normal edition pressure have the dimension "Pa", unlike in "US units edition" it is "psi". Also for temperature: in "US units edition" - degree of Fahrenheit, in "normal edition" - degree of Kelvin.

The "US units edition" of the WaterSteamPro designed for be a transperance for end-user.

The special edition of the WaterSteamPro, called as "US units edition", based upon the normal edition of the WaterSteamPro. The new files of the "US units edition" are: "OKAWSU5.DLL", "OKAWSU5.XLA", "WSUMCAD.DLL" and so on.

Win32 Library "OKAWSU5.DLL" is the source for "US units edition" functions. In these functions only occur the redirection to main library of the WaterSteamPro (known as "OKAWSP5.DLL"), so for proper functionality of WaterSteamPro (US Edition) the library "OKAWSP5.DLL" required. The "OKAWSP5.DLL" library presents the source code responsible for calculation of water and water steam properties. The "OKAWSP5.DLL" and "OKAWSU5.DLL" libraries are Windows dynamic link libraries (DLL), therefore it is applicable to all programs which "know how" to use DLL in their operations.

The libraries is stored at the "System" folder of the Windows catalog. For Windows 9x it is commonly the folder "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM".

The list of exported functions is presented in the section "List of the WaterSteamPro functions", therefore we shall investigate only library features.

For working in Mathcad and Excel with "US units edition" functions used the files "OKAWSU5.XLA" and "WSUMCAD.DLL". They have different names with files from "normal edition" of the WaterSteamPro and may be used together.
